My Daughter is Amazing!

by Maggie
(Pasadena, Md)

I would have to say that my favorite person is my daughter. I was her teacher for the past twelve years and I must say that she was a very good student. She took her schooling to heart and learned everything I taught her. Even though I wasn't the greatest teacher, she proved she was learning. This was evident by the tests she took. She was a straight "A" student.

When she started college she enrolled in an ASL class. She tried and tried to get me to learn sign language with her but I claimed to not have the time. The truth was, I just didn't want to bother myself with learning. When my husband wanted to learn German, I was the first one to sign up with him. He and I have been learning together.

The other day as he and I were in the kitchen speaking, she came in and wanted to converse with us. I was dumbstruck. She was interested in what we were doing and I hadn't wanted to take the time to learn something from her. I am in awe of the kind of person she has grown up to be. God has blessed her with many gifts and talents. She will be my partner through this class and I look forward to learning from her.

She is a wonderful daughter and model for me to learn from. I hope others are blessed by such wonderful children as I have been.
