Not Alexander!!!
by Alyssa
I don't really have a favorite. As far as I am concerned each person that had a major role in the history of sign language is equal. Each person had to step away from what was mainstream society in order to make an impact on the history of sign language or we wouldn't even have this language today. I do, however, dislike one person/group's affect on the history of sign language. If it had been up to Alexander Graham Bell and his supporters' ideas of Oralism being better than signing we could have lost this language all together.
