Sign Language and Dance?

Hello,

I am a lover of language and dance. I studied both for years. I speak English, French and a bit of Italian, Farsi, Armenian and ASL.

I was a ballet dancer until injuries and arthritis took their toll.

I would like feedback about a hearing person signing songs. I have seen people signing songs and sometimes it is magic and sometimes.....

I would like to combine my love of language and dance to interpret songs.

Please give me feedback about if I should pursue this.

Thank you for contacting me! Your talents sound wonderful!

I don't really know much about combining dance and interpreting because it is so unique. I have seen Deaf people perform at Expos, but most performances are skits or plays. You might want to ask a Deaf Theater if they know anything about this. They might know more about where you can look into it :) Here is the website for the National Theater of the Deaf: http://www.ntd.org/. I suggest contacting them and asking them the same question.
