Are you a Deaf person or an ASL expert?

Here at StartASL.com, I offer free online ASL courses. Many people want to learn American Sign Language, but can't because of time or money constraints. My goal is to break that barrier and teach ASL to anyone who wants to learn it!

However, I am a hearing person and I thoroughly believe that having a Deaf person teach ASL is extremely beneficial to any ASL student. I also believe that learning from different signers is necessary because not everyone signs the same.

So, I am asking for a contribution to the ASL learning community. If you are a Deaf person or an avid ASL signer, and you want to be a part of spreading the knowledge of ASL, I would love for you to help with my ASL lessons! It's incredibly easy, and you would be contributing to something great. In return, I will give you credit for the contribution and the chance to plug your blog, your website, or anything you want.

This is all you would have to do:

  1. If you want to contribute to this website, fill out the form below telling me about your ASL skills, how you will film the video, and the information you would like me to share in return for your contribution. Please fill out this form only if you are serious about contributing to the site.
  2. When I receive your request, I will email you back with a lesson plan script (saying what videos need to be filmed for a particular lesson) and a video release form.
  3. Then, all you need to do is film yourself signing the videos.
  4. Then, upload the videos to a website where I can retrieve them and email me your signed video release form.
  5. I will take it from there and edit your videos and get them ready for the web. And in no time you will be spreading the language of ASL all over the world!

If you are interested in contributing, please fill out the form below. You may include your last name and location if you would like me to share that information when giving you credit.
